How To Crank Dat Roy

So you think you know how to crank dat roy? I'm going to tell you how this dance goes so pay close attention to the details. I'm so sick and tired of people half-stepping with the elroy.

I know you've probably seen it too. They're spinning all wrong, steppin in all the wrong places, and it looks pretty ridiculous in the club to see them mess this dance up too.

I'm no expert at this dance, even though my friends say I got JQ (i'm up for the challenge dawg LOL), but check out the details below so that you at least don't end up looking stupid this Friday or Saturday night, ya dig?

How to Crank Dat Roy:

STEP 1: You start with with your feet a little further than shoulder length apart. As the song comes on start clapping to the beat every two seconds while you bob your head.

STEP 2: Next you're gonna take your right foot (or left don't really matter) and step out to the right, then take your left and step to the left. It sort of resembles the act of getting ready to walk off without actually doing it.

STEP 3: After you've stepped to the right and to the left like I said here, you need to spice the dance up a little by jumping with your legs out and bringing them back in twice. This looks like jumping jacks but don't make it ACTUALLY look like you're exercising. (You get the idea right). Do that about twice.

STEP 4: Next you need to do some kicking motions with your feet. Take your left foot and kick to the right, then your right foot and kick to the left. Do this repeatedly. It should look like you're marching but you're actually kicking. If it doesn't then you're not doing it right.

STEP 5: Here comes to the FUN PART! You gotta spin! This is going to take some practice but don't worry, you'll get it right . . . I PROMISE.

Take your right leg and place it in front. Keep your left leg planted back. Now just move your right leg to the left sort of like you're gonna do a karate kick and turn slightly. Once your right leg touches the ground, lift your left leg up while you kick your heels back. Make sure you're continuing to turn as you do this. From there you just repeat in a circle.

IT'S THAT EASY FOLKS! But hey why listen to me when you can watch hands on video instructions on how to crank dat roy as well as do a bunch of other dances. I've managed to get in contact with some top choreographers.
